Part of a Team

Great moments from the Commonwealth Games were the ecstatic and joyful team celebrations upon winning. The embraces, back slaps, and smiling faces from Netball, T20, Hockey, Cycling, Rugby sevens, and Swimming emphasised the benefit of being part of a team. A team focused on achieving results. A team working together. A team combining individual skills to reach the desired goal. A team who will be friends forever. Nothing will ever erase the memory.
Teamwork and sport form an enduring partnership. My life experiences have almost always involved teamwork. The family team, the sporting team, the business team. The lessons were learnt and benefits gained by a training regime, regular exercise, reviewing performance, communication with team members, hard work, mixing with, learning from, accepting challenges, being inspired by performance, consoling after a loss, celebrating together after a win. It cannot get any better.
And so, I looked around Fowlers Group workplace and not really to my surprise, most of our staff had been members of teams across a myriad of sports. Including rugby league, hockey, cricket, tennis, swimming, netball, cycling, golf, rugby union, AFL. They have represented at various levels – city, region, state and national. Most importantly, though is that now, they are part of the Fowlers Group team representing our clients, working together, applying individual skills and achieving goals.
Our clients are our teammates, in fact, they are the Captains, and we are the Coaches, setting strategies and providing feedback, focused on the Captain’s call.
Our forward vision highlights in bold colour the embraces, the back slaps, the smiling faces, the enduring partnerships with our clients that leads us to the celebration, the gold medal, friends forever.
